Dean's List On Resume

When I see that on a rez it makes me think the person is trying to fluff themselves like I can see the GPA right there.

If you decide to put both Deans List and your GPA score on a resume list them in the same line. It should clear concise. Dont include Deans List if you graduated with Latin honors If you graduate with Greek honors or Latin honors such as Cum Laude Magna Cum Laude or Summa Cum Laude dont add Deans List to your resume.

Include Deans list on your resume if you have been added to it regularly. Making the deans list is a testament to your ability to succeed. The Deans List should always be in the education section of your resume as it can only be earned at an educational institution.

Including Deans List on a resume is optional. While much of your profile is a subjective characterization of your abilities Honors Awards provide objective validation for your accomplishments. Making the Deans list for many semesters throughout your college career demonstrates a strong consistent work ethic as well as academic ability.

If on the other hand you only made the list just once or a couple of times you shouldnt include it on your resume. Be specific and include details. Deans List is just redundant to me not a value add.

Did you make the Deans List or earn a merit-based scholarship. Be careful adding the deans list in a section of the resume that wont detract from your narrative. And still an accomplishment for which you can be proud.
